Overview
The Lewis Password Reset Portal allows students, faculty, and staff to securely change or reset their Lewis password without contacting the Service Desk. Whether you know your current password and want to update it, or you have forgotten your password and need to regain access, the portal provides a simple self-service process.

Before You Begin
To use the Password Reset Portal, you must have:
- Your Lewis username.
- A personal email address on file with Lewis University.
- Access to that personal email account.
Reset a Forgotten Password
If you do not remember your Lewis password:
- Visit the Lewis Password Reset Portal.
- Enter your Lewis username.
- A one-time passcode will be sent to your personal email address on file.
- Retrieve the passcode from your email and enter it when prompted.
- Complete any additional identity verification steps presented.
- Create a new password that meets Lewis password requirements.
- Submit the form to complete the password reset.
Your new password will immediately become your Lewis password for services such as:
- MyLewis
- Email
- Blackboard
- Lewis network resources
Change Your Password
If you know your current password but would like to update it, you can also use the Password Reset Portal to change your password. Simply verify your identity and follow the prompts to select a new password.
Didn't Receive the Verification Code?
If you do not receive the email containing your verification code:
- Check your Junk Mail or Spam folder.
- Verify that your personal email address is current and accessible.
- Wait a few minutes and try again if necessary.
Need to Update Your Personal Email Address?
The self-service password reset process depends on the personal email address stored in your Lewis record. Students and employees are encouraged to periodically review and update their personal information to ensure they can successfully use password recovery services when needed.

If you are unable to complete the password reset process or no longer have access to your personal email account, contact the Lewis University Service Desk for assistance. Note that we are unable to reset passwords via email requests.
